Help Steph Out
July 1, 2008

My friend and former radio partner Stephanie is going to be walking in an event
called the Breast Cancer 3 Day. It's a walking event to benefit the Susan
G. Komen Foundation. She's gonna be mad at me for using this photo, but
I'm going to donate some money, so she'll get over it. Eventually.
If you would like to help her out,
She also was instrumental in getting me a custom made guitar to be raffled off
at my charity bass tournament coming in this month.

Kimbo Freakshow
June 2, 2008
I watched the MMA debut on CBS on Saturday night. I didn't realize that
they were going to be showing the minor leagues of MMA. The Kimbo
Slice/James Thompson match was the main event, and Kimbo only has 3 pro fights
under his beard, I mean belt. They stopped the fight too early, which
leads me to believe it was fixed. You know the guys in charge had to have
Kimbo win. How about Thompson's ear? They couldn't drain it before
the fight? That was sick, yet somewhat cool to see how it popped open.
Anyway, I wish they would have spent more time showing us matches instead of
spending most of the show introducing the fighters and talking about them.
Do we really need five minutes of intros, when we don't even know who these
people are?

My charity bass tournament entry form is here
for you to download. The tournament is Saturday July 19 at Gull Lake.
Entry fee is $60 per team and there are only 50 spots available, so get in soon. Last year we had 51
boats. This is an 80 percent payout tournament. Proceeds will go to
Pretty Lake Vacation Camp For Kids in Mattawan as usual. Thanks to all of
you who are in. I'll see you there.

Big Fish
April 28, 2008
I recently went to Lake St. Clair in
Detroit with my friend and bass fisherman Kendall Ulsh. We got on 'em
bigtime, thanks to Kendall. My first fish of the year was that five
pounder in the second picture. If you would like to catch some
smallies like these, let me know, and I'll get you in contact with him.
It's worth the drive.
